Robin was baptized as an infant at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene. Growing up in a Christian home, Robin always knew the importance of God. At the age of thirteen, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Over the years her faith continued, but she didn’t attend church on a regular basis. It wasn’t until her adult son, TJ, who had become active in a church in Delaware, decided to be baptized. After going to his baptism, Robin decided to join her son and attended church at the Delaware City Vineyard. Upon her move to Mansfield in 2013, the Lord put upon her heart to seek out a start-up church and she attended Love Action Church in Crestline, OH where she was very active. Wanting to do more, the Lord put it upon her heart to go on a mission trip, which she fulfilled in August of 2017. She traveled to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti with a team from One Plus God Ministries and was baptized as an adult there. Embracing the call of mission work, she traveled to both South Africa and Haiti in 2018. In September 2019, she went to Israel, and she plans to travel to Alaska, Jamaica, and Thailand in the future. Answering God’s call to move in a different direction, Robin started attending Crossroads Community Church in Mansfield, OH with her brother, Kenny, in May 2018. There she is a member of the church where she serves on the guest services team, has been a team leader, participates in various bible studies, and is a part of a woman’s small group.
Currently residing in Mansfield, OH, Robin was born and raised in Marion, OH. She is the mother of three grown children, Timothy Knotts, Jason Knotts, and Melissa (Joseph) Williams and she is a grandmother to Zaden and Russell Williams and Emmalyn and Brayden Knotts. She is very active in her community where she serves as president on a non-profit board, volunteers for the Friends of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library and is a member of the Buckeye Garden Club.
In 1997, she obtained an Associate’s of Applied Business Degree in Retail Management and Marketing with a heavy emphasis on banking and finance from Marion Technical College. While working full-time, she also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Franklin University in 2007. She has held various positions in a customer service capacity with National City Bank, Avco Financial Services, and MACOLA/Exact Software before joining ArcelorMittal Tubular Products, LLC in 2002. She worked there for over seventeen years before accepting a newly created position in October 2019 at Nanogate North America LLC, as the commercial contact in the Internal Sales/Account Manager position. Unfortunately, the position was eliminated after CoVid19 took its toll on the automotive industry. Going in a different direction, she started her own business in 2021 and became the owner of Fresh Eats And Sweet Treats, LLC. In addition, she started subbing full-time and will be pursuing her Career Tech License and master’s degree to become a full-time teacher for the Family and Consumer Science curriculum. She has an extensive background in customer service, long-term customer relationships, problem solving, analysis, marketing, spreadsheets, forecasting, account management, communications, and Microsoft Office/various CRM systems.
