Credentials

Jon Horn is a disciple of Jesus Christ, a part-time staff pastor and currently the Chief Human Resource Officer at Husky Energy in Lima, OH. He was formerly Chief Human Resource Officer at Clark Schaefer Hackett, Director of Human Resources for Rhodes State College in Lima, Ohio and Director of Manufacturing for Airstream, Inc. in Jackson Center, Ohio. Previously he worked as Director of Management Consulting and Training Services at Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Company in Dayton. Before joining Clark Schaefer Hackett, Jon was also Vice President of Human Resources and Organization Effectiveness also at Airstream, and head of his own private management consulting practice. Jon graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1986, where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree, and earned an MBA from the University of Nebraska with a focus in international business and organizational behavior.

Biography

Formerly head of the business & industry training unit at Rhodes State, he has proven leadership and consulting experience in teambuilding, strategic planning, business operations, workforce and organizational development, human resources, facilitating change/change management, conflict resolution and quality process improvement. Jon has been an independent consultant, managing director at a European subsidiary of a U.S.-based equipment manufacturer in Belgium, and a decorated military officer. He has held certification as a challenge course (high ropes, low ropes, ground initiatives) facilitator, and was named to Dayton Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty” list of outstanding business leaders in 2004. He is a leader at New Hampshire Community Church in New Hampshire, Ohio, Vice-President of the Wayne-Goshen Area Community Foundation Inc., and is a past board member and county campaign director of the United Way of Auglaize County. Jon also served on the Service Academy Review Board for the 4th U.S. Congressional District. He is a U.S.A. Track & Field Level I certified coach. Jon has participated in and led several mission outreaches to Haiti. Jon lives outside Waynesfield, Ohio with his wife Kitt. They have twin girls (Morgan and Ivy) and a son, Gray, a graduate of the University of Florida.
