Credentials & Testimony
Cindy is a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She went on to achieve a Master of Arts Degree from The Ohio State University. Teaching has been her passion. She spent thirty years as an Intervention Specialist, empowering students with disabilities to achieve their full potential! She continues to serve in her community within a local organization that clothes school aged students in Morrow County. She is an active member of her church, Marion Naz. She has been a representative on her church board, chaired the mission’s committee, and leads a small group. At Mount Vernon Nazarene University, she is currently a co-advisor for Enactus which is a student led organization using entrepreneurial ideas to serve others. Cindy has had the privilege of participating in six mission trips in the countries of Jamaica and Belize. In 2016, she began serving as the prayer coordinator for One Plus God Ministries.
At the heart of everything she does is first God and then family. Cindy has been married to husband, Mark, since 1990. They have been gifted with two children and three grandsons. It was on a mountain in Jamaica, while visiting the home of Pearl and Verona, that missions became alive for both Cindy and Mark. You see, Pearl and Verona didn’t have anything that western culture deems as rich – not even their sight. But they are two of the richest people that Cindy has ever met. And while sitting on a concrete porch praising Jesus with these two amazing women, everything in life became very clear….the family of God connects us across cultures and continents, everybody needs to know Jesus and join the family and prayer is the most powerful weapon we possess.
